What motivates me is the development of innovative productive solutions for customers the majority of those based on software.

I have a strong mathematical and engineering basis. I graduated as Chemical Engineer with Master in Science and Doctor in Science degrees in one of the most qualified chemical and biochemical post-graduation program in Brazil (School of Chemistry of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), and a PostDoctoral project at LEPABE/FEUP at the University of Porto. I have various papers about optimization, pipe network simulation and heat exchanger fouling. I was granted Brazilian prizes like 5th Petrobras Pipeline Technology Prize in 2003, and Brazilian Chemical Design Contest RHODIA/ABEQ in 2001.

When I worked for Chemtech/Siemens, I could deliver great solutions for the main industries in Brazil. My activities in Petrobras refineries and offshore platforms, Braskem polymer and petrochemical plants and Vale iron ore benefitiation plants, could help than to optimize their automation assets and provide better knowledge of processes after the development of process modeling, simulation, and control projects under my consultancy and/or management.

When I worked for INPI, I learned the complexity of a government institute and developed my intellectual property skills. My achievements in this period are mainly related to IT. A very successful project helped the patent directorate to automatize the patent application using an end-to-end solution, reduce the backoffice costs and response speed. This project (e-Patents: Modernization, Transparency and Innovation in Patent Document Access) won the XI Prize for Excellence in Electronic Government (e-Gov 2012) in 2012.

I work/use/code Shell Script, Python (django, Numpy, Scipy and scikit-learn), PHP, JS, and Kotlin language; MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Informix and InfluxDB databases; Google Cloud Platform and Amazon AWS cloud services; Git, Grafana, Docker, Docker-Compose, and Kubernetes for DevOps; R, MathCad, Matlab, Scilab, Simulink, Phoenics CFD, Comsol Multiphysics, OpemFoam, Aspen Hysys, TGNet, TLNet, Gams, and Olga Multiphase as engineering tools.

I am a technology enthusiast. I always try to bring the state of art of IT to the companies I work for. Today, I am specially interested in IoT devices and how to properly connect industrial PLC to the cloud in order to provide an efficient industrial data acquisition that allow real time analysis. My recent interest is to support my company in prescriptive maintenance of the water treatment equipment that we operate around the globe.
